In December 2009 Edgnett commenced rolling out a PC upgrade for Bemax at their Broken Hill operations and their mine sites.

In 2009 Edgnett worked closely with HP to upgrade the BHCC server and storage equipment. This included the supply of 5 x HP servers, HP EVA4400 and VMware. This project was completed on time and to budget.

In 2009 Edgnett carried out a number of significant server upgrades for our customers, including installation of Windows Server 2008 and Windows SBS 2008.

In 2009 Edgnett carried out the deployment of Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard Server and Client at a number of sites.

In 2008 Edgnett carried out a server rationalisation and upgrade for Perilya at their Broken Hill mine.

Mid 2007 Edgnett installed a HP EVA6000 2TB Storage Area Network (SAN) and tape autoloader for a major customer to support their growing operations. The requirement was for total data security and redundancy, and high performance and availability. At the same time, an extensive HP Procurve network LAN was implemented. Edgnett case managed this project with HP and customer representatives. Both these projects ran seamlessly and to budget.

Early 2007 Edgnett carried out a feasibility study for imaging artwork which resulted in Edgnett supplying, installation, configuration and support of a MSA 1500 4TB and tape autoloader for Pro Hart Art Gallery. This enables the customer to digitise the artwork and market the gallery’s artwork worldwide giving the priceless nature of the artwork a 100% reliable and redundant system. The project was finished to budget.

Late 2004 to current— Edgnett supplied and installed IT Systems and technical services to Bemax for their Mineral Separation Plant at Broken Hill and the Gingko Mine Site. We continue to provide technical and consulting services to Bemax.

Since the inception of Perilya in Broken Hill in early 2002 Edgnett have had a strong business relationship that continues to prosper. The business relationship has involved the supply of technical services, hardware and software, as well as sourcing software solutions and providing technical and consulting services on an on-going basis.

February/June 2003 – Setup Job Network Business Centres for Sureway Employment & Training Pty Ltd to provide services for the Commonwealth Department of Employment & Workplace Relations. This entailed installing and configuring servers, clients, peripherals and communications (hardware and software) across 11 sights – Broken Hill (2 sites), Wagga Wagga (2 sites), Albury, Corowa, Dubbo, Forbes, Parkes, Leeton, Griffith. We worked in close cooperation with the client, cabling contractor, Telstra, office renovators, office-furnishings suppliers etc. This contract was completed on time and to budget.

April/August 2002 – Provided technical services, project management, hardware and software to Perilya & Pasminco for the transfer of ownership and management of the Pasminco Broken Hill mine. Edgnett’s technicians have an intimate knowledge of the Pasminco business systems and their WAN/LAN setup. This was invaluable to both parties in removing the mine from the Pasminco WAN and readying the IT infrastructure for the installation of new systems to service the site for Perilya mine management. Our contract also involved the collation of Pasminco data and passing it to their head office and the setup and testing of new servers for Perilya. These tasks were completed to specification and with in the (very narrow) time constraints.

February 2000/July 2002 – Provided contracted, on-site IT technical support for Pasminco for their mine sites at Broken Hill and Cobar (Elura Mine) and at the Port Pirie smelter. This included ensuring that all Pasminco IT policies were complied with and compiling internal performance reports. Our contractors worked closely with Pasminco Corporate IT personnel and were kept abreast of all new Pasminco IT developments.

October 1996 to February 1997 Edgnett was the primary project contractor for the implementation of a major Windows NT/Windows 95/Microsoft Office Local Area Network (LAN) installation for Pasminco at their Broken Hill and Cobar (Elura) mines (3 servers and 170 PCs). The integration of the new LAN with the existing commercial and technical computing services, and connectivity to the Pasminco Wide Area Network (WAN) was an important part of the project. In addition to the hardware and software installation and configuration tasks we were involved in the project-planning phase at both sites and delivered much of the formal user training for Pasminco Broken Hill Mine staff. In October/November 2000 we upgraded the Pasminco Broken Hill LAN to Windows 2000 Server/Professional. These contracts were completed on time and to budget and specification.

In addition to these major contracts Edgnett has scoped, installed and maintain many smaller networks for local and regional businesses. These customers operate in across a wide spectrum of business sector, including accounting, legal, real estate, retail, automotive, health etc.

Edgnett is also a technical service provider and hardware/software supplier for the NSW Department of Education – Western Division. Apart from the Broken Hill schools we have provided on-site technical services to schools in Tibooburra, Pooncarie, Menindee and Ivanhoe. We provide similar services to Sacred Heart Catholic School.
